Questions
- Question posts should have a descriptive title - something like 'Ming dynasty bedding for nobles' rather than just 'Help!' or 'Question about bedding', for instance.
- Include your setting (both time and place), even if it doesn't seem immediately relevant - it frequently might be! You can also use genre descriptions like 'xianxia' or 'Ming-dynasty steampunk' if you don't have a specific real location and time period. If you're working in a specific fandom, you may also include the fandom if you wish, but please also include the more general description for people who may be unfamiliar with the fandom.
- Include a summary of how you tried to research the question already. Include specific search terms and resources you tried, not just 'I checked Wikipedia'. Translation and personal experience questions may be exempt from this requirement.
Resources
- Resource posts should also have a descriptive title. This can be the title of the resource itself if you like.
- If it is not the post title, the entry should include the title of the resource, if it has one.
- Include the type of resource (for instance, book, journal article, blog post, etc), and ideally a link to the resource itself, or where more info can be found about the resource (WorldCat is a good option for books)
- Include a brief summary of what the resource covers.
